10 Signs You Have A Wealthy Millionaire Mindset

Wealthy Millionaire Mindset

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is one book that you can’t afford to pass up to develop a wealthy millionaire mindset.

Need help to change your life? T. Harv Eker lays the blueprint for your mind to make the riches you desire.

I’ve learned tremendous info from this book. It drilled deep into my mindset to prepare me for wealth. You can’t obtain wealth unless your mind is ready. I suggest you go out and buy the book to read it fully.

Anyway, here are 10 signs I’ve learned from the book that changed my life.

(Disclaimer: When I use the term ‘poor people’, I mean it in the sense of the mindsets people have. If one lacks money financially they can still have a millionaire mentality. Sometimes it’s necessary to be broke because of the lessons we learn throughout life. Being broke is a temporary situation. Being poor is a state of mind.)

10 Signs You Have A Wealthy Millionaire Mindset

1. The #1 Sign You Have A Wealthy Millionaire Mindset

Being wealthy is an absolute must. Period. And the #1 reason people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want.

The brain is extraordinary in problem-solving. Once you have a problem, clearly define it. Then even when you’re not thinking about the solution, your subconscious will plan one. It’s always working for you.

Poor people will say, “I know what I want. I want 7 figures.” Good. And then their brain starts to work out the details to get it. Then they switch up and say, “The rich are greedy. What if I lose all the money? Money is the root of all evil.”

Now the brain is engineered to focus on not obtaining the 7 figures. They blocked the planning off and confused their subconscious. It doesn’t know what they want and neither do they. But unlike them, you must be committed to being rich.

Many times people are conflicted with money. They want it but don’t want it to take hold of them. The awesome thing is that money doesn’t control the person who has it! It expands and exposes them for who they already are. Are you greedy?  You will be more greedy. Are you giving? Then you’ll be able to give more.

So, you don’t worry about money changing you. Know what you want, change yourself, and allow money to give you the ability to give and also do more.

2. “If It’s Not Your Job To Do It, Perhaps It’s Your Opportunity”

Napoleon Hill says it best. You see a task as not your responsibility. And it isn’t. But you use the task to get ahead. Poor people see an obstacle as a wall. But you see it as a way to get stronger by climbing it.

I remember meeting a guy who said, “When money is tight, it’s a blessing.” This perspective is a great example of how to use an obstacle of little money into an opportunity to learn how to use it and budget better.

You know that if you want to be rich, you focus on making, keeping, and investing your money. Poor people need to focus on spending it.

So, focus on the opportunities, not the obstacles.

3. You Don’t Hate What You Want

Poor people grow up with the thoughts that rich people are crooks. “They’ve obtained their riches through deception.” The recent movie, The Founder, depicting McDonald’s expander, Ray Kroc, certainly shows this.

But you’ve tweaked your wealthy millionaire mindset to understand a deeper truth.

The truth is you can’t hate what you want. Energy is contagious. Associate with people you want to grow to be. You know by hating the rich, you could never learn from them.

Love and bless them to gain more wealth so they teach you the same methods. If you want to learn to fly, then learn from eagles. Don’t be with the ducks cursing and expanding negative energy with their feet in the water.

Shout Your Value

4. Everyone Knows Your Value

Jim Rohn, the famous speaker, explained that if you want your bank account to increase, add value to the marketplace. This fourth sign of a wealthy millionaire mindset is about promoting that value. You tell and show them what you can do. Therefore, people know what you can do for them.

Poor people look at this as bad. They say you’re bragging and self-promotion is not good for your image. But in fact, they don’t do it themselves and remain where they are.

Let’s say you have the cure for a crippling disease. Would you keep it a secret because self-promotion is evil or beneath you?

No! A person wouldn’t be able to walk again if you do that. So you must let as many people as you can know that you can help them with your product or service. And if you deliver, your riches will increase.

The problem is that poor people who think negative of promoting don’t believe in the product or service themselves. Believe and you can achieve.

5. You Believe It’s Better To Receive Than To Give

People hold on to the Bible verse that God loves a cheerful giver. It’s an amazing verse. Now how would you feel if no one received what you were attempting to give?

Upset? Discouraged? For every giver, there is a receiver to fill the equation. This isn’t to say don’t give. I encourage you to give like Oprah and also receive the blessings that come. Pick up the penny on the street. Money is being attracted to you and if you deny the blessing, how can you receive a $1,000 check in your name?

Have Both

6. Have Your Cake And Eat It Too By Thinking ‘Both’

The poor man says, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” And the rich ask, “What’s the point of having the cake in the first place?”

You know that by having your cake and eating it, you are not depriving someone of eating theirs. America doesn’t have a shortage of cake.

The middle class believes that cake is too rich, “I’ll just have a piece”. And poor people believe they don’t deserve cake so they order a doughnut, focus on the hole and wonder why they have nothing.

But with your wealthy millionaire mindset, you want both.

7. You Know The Difference Between Net Worth Vs Working Income

Poor people don’t know the difference?

So, let me explain.

Your net worth (the true measure of wealth) is everything that you can liquidate into cash. In order to get this number, add up everything you own. This includes home, business assets and the like. Then subtract it from everything you owe. And voila! You have your net worth.

Working income (active work like paychecks) is important but only one of the four factors that determine net worth. The others are Savings, Investments, and Simplification (cutting expenses to live on less). These three factors take time and energy to learn and develop and you take that time and energy.

8. Money Works Hard For You So You Don’t Have To

Don’t get it twisted. You work hard to be wealthy. Nothing good comes easy. But you understand this, that it’s only temporary. To the poor, hard work is permanent. Remember, you take the time and energy to learn about investing. You read at least 1 investment book a month.

Then, you pick a primary form such as stocks, bonds, real estate, etc. and become an expert while diversifying later.

“Don’t wait to buy real estate. Buy real estate and wait.”

9. You Continue Moving Forward Even When In The Darkness Of Fear

The poor let fear overtake them. They also make themselves feel better with excuses. “It’s only money.” “I’m too broke to give/invest/ save.”

Action is the bridge between your inner world (your mind) and your outer world. You understand you don’t have to be fearless to succeed. The only time you grow is when you’re uncomfortable and want to change. CZ = WZ (your Comfort Zone = your Wealth Zone). Increase your comfort zone by being uncomfortable and that will increase your wealth zone.

Constantly Be Learning

10. You Love To Constantly Learn

“You can be right or you can be rich, you can’t be both,” as Harv puts it. He also explains that the fastest way to get rich and stay rich is to develop yourself. You strive to be the best person you could possibly be.

Therefore, your philosophy is “Be, Do, Have”. The poor see the opposite “Have, Do, Be” If you have a wealthy millionaire mindset then first you Be a millionaire (internally) and then you Do it by taking actions to acquire the money so that you Have it.

To get paid the best, you must be the best like in sports. Not everyone was paid and sponsored like Michael Jordan. Always continue to learn. And learn from the best.

“If you think education is expensive, try ignorance”

– Benjamin Franklin

So, now you know the 10 wealthy millionaire mindset signs. Hopefully, you have them already in your inner world. And if you don’t, it can always be learned.

Put the excuses aside because it all starts in the mind. And if you’re confusing yourself then your action will not line up with your desires.

Like Harv says, “The mark of true wealth is determined by how much one can give away.”

  1. This is an amazing and inspiring article! You know, I never thought about it before but it is true that the one thing that stops me from wanting to be rich is the thought of what people would think of me? My Dad often says ‘people have more money then their own good’ and he often talks about well-off family members as if they are despicable. It makes me sad that he might see me that was if I were to work hard and become ‘well-off’ as he puts it.

I was thinking the other day how true it is that more people have, the more they spend and I suddenly realized that although I had always wanted to sponsor a child, I had never done it because I believed I couldn’t afford it. Well, that wasn’t true, I suddenly realized that the money that could’ve gone to a needy child was being spent on books and hot-chocolates in town. So I dropped all the rubbish I was buying myself and started sponsoring a little boy in Kenya.
You know what? I haven’t brought myself a single thing since and I am happier then I was when I was buying things for myself, simply because it is better to give then to receive.
Thank you for this article Seth!

    • Thanks for sharing Emma! That’s profound and inspiring. I like how you removed those mental roadblocks and turned them into positives. Keep it up and keep me updated.

  2. Great article as usual Seth! I particularly love your disclaimer in the beginning of the post. 😀 I enjoyed your references to different people such as Jim Rohn, Napoleon Hill and even the Bible.

    Thanks for sharing!
