“For things to change, you have to change” – Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn is addicting to listen to! Some days I find myself not being able to stop listening to his incredible speeches. He focuses on self-development with life lessons to improve your character. He’s one of my top ten favorite motivational speakers because he adds humor with inspiration. Getting your audience into a good mood to hear what you have to say marks a skillful motivational speaker. Hence, his success.
Real name, Emanuel James Rohn, he was born in 1930 in Yakima, Washington before his family moved to Caldwell, Idaho where he grew up an only child. Due to this, Rohn often recites his history as a farm boy from Idaho. He had pennies in his pocket, married with a child at 25 until he met Mr. John Earl Shoaff, who changed his life. Sheaf took Rohn under his wing and transformed his philosophy and psychology on life.
Jim Rohn died in 2009 after achieving a number of feats as he presented amazing seminars worldwide for more than 40 years! This began when he was invited to speak at a meeting with his Rotary Club. As a result, it spun out to his first public seminar in 1963 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. And in the 1970s, he appeared for Standard Oil, now under the names of ExxonMobil, Chevron, and BP (depending on the state).
In addition, he returned the favor Shoaff gave, by mentoring others. This includes many great speakers such as Tony Robbins, Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Todd Smith, and an author I recently read, T. Harv Eker. Furthermore, Jim Rohn has changed my life and I hope he does the same for you.
