“Be Phenomenal or Be Forgotten” – ET

Eric Thomas is one of my all time favorite motivational speakers!! He is an awesome example of a person who went from zero to hero. He dropped out of high school, left homeless for 2 years, then met a preacher who changed his life around. As a result, he became one of the greatest speakers on YouTube and for athletes around the world. And now holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

Achievements

Eric Thomas was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. After being homeless in Detroit, he was inspired to change, met his future wife and moved to Huntsville, Alabama and attended Oakwood University. ET spent 12 long years to obtain his undergrad degree in 2001. This motivated him to obtain his master’s degree from Michigan State University in 2005 and finally his Ph.D. in Education Administration from the same school 10 years later in 2015.

Eric Thomas also motivates people all around the world and consults big name Fortune 500 companies such as General Electric, Quicken Loans, AT&T, Nike, Under Armour, New Balance, and UPS as CEO of his Consulting Firm, ETA LLC.

His famous quote, “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful” stuck with me for years. He motivated me through my workouts when I exercised a lot a few years back. And now he motivates me to achieve my financial dreams and success. As a result, the story of the guru greatly motivated my sales team.  Therefore Eric Thomas is very influential in my life.
