“I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed” – Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger will motivate you to charge pass your limits like a herd of angry elephants. You will ignore those limits set by others. He is a monster at his craft and he will inspire you to be a monster at yours. When I work out, he is the first one I turn to for motivation because he was the definition of “don’t quit” in the bodybuilding world. He dominated as an early pioneer and legend in bodybuilding. And motivated me to break down walls when the walls are glaring at me in my face.

Achievements

Arnold burst through mental limitations taking control in fields normal citizens shy from. Born in 1947, he served in the Austrian Armed Forces in 1965. But he began weight training before then at the age of 15. Therefore, while serving, he won the Junior Mr. Europe contest and hence started his bodybuilding career. Although taking a loss in his first Mr. Universe competition to due his leg definition, he gained a coach and trained to win the title in 1967. So, he became the youngest to win at the age of 20 and continued to win 3 more times later.

Seeking more opportunity, he moved to the US in 1968, which had been a dream of his since age 10. He trained at Gold’s Gym and in 1970, at age 23, he won his first Mr. Olympia title in New York and won 7 more times afterward.

Arnold then decided to take a risky shift to movies, creating a controversy (with his big muscles and heavy accent) and had his first role in Hercules in New York as Hercules. Then, he had his first big break as Conan the Barbarian in 1982. Afterward, while having his signature role in in 1984 with The Terminator and with the famous line, “I’ll be back,” his film career took off like a rocket with unlimited fuel.

With serving the army, bodybuilding, and film under his belt, his next sight was to sit in a political seat. So, he grabbed the chair as Governor of California for 2 terms, from 2003 to 2011.

Not enough can be said about Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is why he has been a big inspiration to me and why I hope he will be one to you!
